My perfect go-to cookies

Ingredients

  • Softened unsalted butter - 1 cup
  • White granulated sugar - 1 cup
  • Light brown sugar - 1 cup
  • Pure vanilla extract - 2 tsp.
  • Large eggs - 2 each
  • Salt - 1 tsp.
  • All-purpose flour - 3 cups
  • Baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • Chocolate chips - 2.5-3 cups
  • Dash of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients together and preheat the oven to 375°F
  2. In a large bowl, sift and mix dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
  3. Mix together butter, white and brown sugar until creamy consistency
  4. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients until combined.
  6. Add in chocolate chips and combine well.
  7. Line up the baking pan with parchment paper / spray pan with non-stick oil. Scoop 2 tbsp. of dough and place on sheet - can bake around 12 at a time in standard sheet.
  8. Sprinkler a little sea salt on top of each cookie - this will make all the difference, I promise
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Let them sit for 3-4 minutes before moving to wire rack to cool.

Mix together butter and sugar until creamy consistency

Add in chocolate chips and combine well.

Spray baking pan with baking oil. Scoop 2 tbsp. of dough and place on sheet - can bake around 12 at a time in standard sheet.

My husband couldn’t keep his hands away even for a second. This big batch was devoured by us with coffee in the evening. A perfect ending to a perfect weekend!
